We are the 3rd owners of this piano that we found close by, at an Estate Sale. It was owned by a woman who purchased the piano over 40 years ago and it had not moved from the spot in her living room in which we found it. The piano was in Pristine Condition, not even one small crack in the soundboard! We craned it out of the second floor and took it back to the shop where we decided to bring the Beautiful Steinway back in time to the day it was Originally Manufactured.
A 25 coat, High Gloss, Hand Rubbed Cherry Lacquer Finish, is being applied over the Rare Figured Mahogany Veneer. The action is being Replaced with German Renner Action Parts. New Pin Block, Roslau Piano Wire, Bright Nickel Plated Hardware, Damp Chaser Humidity Control System , are also part of this meticulous rebuild of the Classic 1927 Steinway. As you can see from the photo's we have completed the interior rebuilding and are ready to re-string. 1904 Mason& Hamlin AA Grand 6'2" SOLD
Click Thumbnails for Full Size Image This 1904 Mason & Hamlin has it's original pin block, soundboard and strings. It has been completely reconditioned, cleaned, lubricated, action rebuilt, and fine tuned to A440. If you have ever played an original old 6'2" Mason AA you know that it has a mature, dynamic, and powerful tonality only found in early Mason's. It's upper tenor and treble "solo" ranges speak with a beautifully clear and clean voice. The New German Able Hammers have recaptured this Mason's original incomparable tone.

The piano action has been bead blasted clean, front and balance rail punchings replaced, back rail cloth replaced, New key tops, and New German Able Hammers, Shanks, Knuckles, and Flanges. This Rebuilt Action has been regulated to original factory specs and is truly a accomplished pianists piano.
The underneath side of the soundboard has been cleaned and re-shellacked to protect from humidity changes. The complete under side has been given a fresh coat of black paint and a top line Dampp-Chaser Piano Climate Control System has been installed complete with the double tank humidifier and three de-humidifier rods. A very beefy system perfect to protect this fine instrument from dry New England winters and humid summers.
