A piano will excite and stimulate

the three human senses of

touch, hearing, and sight.

The rebuilder has three distinct

and different jobs to do.

The piano action,

consisting of almost 12,000 parts,

has to be rebuilt to respond

to the most difficult

technical musical passages,

as well as to the

most subtle, quiet, and heart felt passions of the pianist.

That dynamic range between

explosive energy and moodiness presents the piano rebuilder

with a demanding and exacting

set of challenges with

no room for error.

Our Mission ...

Nothing commands

the immediate attention of one's eye like the sight of an immaculately refinished grand piano.

Many people purchase a grand piano solely for that reason alone!

Some of the earlier grands from the 1870's through the 1920's

used the rarest and

most sought after veneers

found from all corners of the world. Many of these veneers

have grain patterns and colors

that can not be duplicated

by any means at any cost.

They are truly

mother natures original artwork .

Craftsmen Piano Rebuilders

refinishes these pianos

in closed grain, clear lacquer finishes, customizing the stain color

and final hand rub out

to meet the clients requirements.

All of the details

are carefully completed.

New fallboard and soundboard decals are clear coated into the finish.

All hardware is either re-plated

bright nickel or high polished

if solid brass and then clear coated

with a special clear coat

before reassembly.

All case felts and rubber buttons

are replaced and then

final assembly is completed.

The final result is an

instrument of incomparable beauty

to the eyes, ears,

and the pianist's touch.
